Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to join our team. As an Assistant Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting the head coach in various coaching activities and ensuring the success of our sports programs. This is a paid position that offers the opportunity to work with students and contribute to their growth and development. Responsibilities: - Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practice sessions - Provide guidance and instruction to athletes during training sessions - Assist with game preparation, including scouting opponents and developing game strategies - Help monitor the progress and performance of athletes - Collaborate with the coaching staff to create a positive and inclusive team environment - Support the head coach in organizing team events, competitions, and travel arrangements - Ensure the safety of athletes during practices and games by following proper safety protocols Experience: - Previous experience working with students or athletes in a coaching or mentoring role - Lifeguard certification or experience is a plus - Knowledge or experience in martial arts, swimming, cheerleading, basketball, or judo is highly desirable - Strong passion for sports and a desire to educate and inspire young athletes - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and coaching staff - Ability to motivate and encourage athletes to reach their full potential - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by practice schedules and competitions We offer competitive compensation for this position.
