Assists with program/curriculum planning and provides service delivery of independent living skills for youth.
Bachelor’s degree in counseling, sociology, psychology, or related field, or a combination of education and experience. Experience working with at-risk youth. Experience with regional social service delivery systems and community resources. Experience in group facilitation and skills training. Computer literate. Regularly travels the service area.
Needed Attributes: Ability to work effectively with adolescents and young adults with varied socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Coordinates with social services and juvenile justice agencies to identify and recruit program eligible youth
- Conducts one-on-one assessments and facilitates case plans with youth
- Assists with training curriculum development and provides life skills training in group settings
- Provides case management services, including weekly contact with participants
- Develops cooperative relationships with Agency programs and community service providers
- Organizes and participates in program activities and retreats
- Coordinates adult/youth mentorship programs, including recruitment and training of mentors
- Assists with required reports
