The Youth Care Specialist (YCS) tends to the physical and emotional needs of assigned clients and fosters a supportive group living environment in our Ozark Family Resource Center - Emergency Shelter.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalency

Schedule:

• Flexible schedule opportunities for Part-Time, and PRN shifts.

Compensation:

• $15.00 - $17.00 per hour.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years old to apply
• Pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check required
• Valid driver's license
• Valid auto insurance

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience Working with children and families in a trauma informed environment.

Essential Duties:

• Manage youth safely, avoiding therapeutic holds.
• Model positive behaviors and coping skills using a strength-based approach.
• Ensure client safety and security while attending to their needs in a nurturing manner.
• Participate in various meetings to share client information and discuss cottage life matters.
• Supervise clients, assign daily chores, assist with homework, and encourage recreational activities.
• Implement treatment plans and complete necessary documentation.
