Philips Ambulance is looking for new and experienced EMT's to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Performs a visual inspection of the patient compartment, inside and out, and for cleanliness and damage.
- Cleans and maintains patient compartment, equipment, and outside of vehicle as needed.
- Replaces damaged or missing items, noting deficiencies on Usage Report.
- Ensures that the ambulance is at all times in compliance with applicable NJ Department of Health Regulations.
- Directs his/her partner with regard to assistance with patient care and handling, use of emergency warning devices, speed and special driving conditions particular to patient needs.
- Responds to all calls as directed by the dispatcher in a professional manner and in the time frame assigned.
- Treats all patients in accordance with NJ Basic Life Support Protocols.
- Secures patient information and records from facility staff.
- Transports all patients in a safe and professional manner.
- Observes all patient rights with regard to courteous conduct, behavior and appropriate communication.
- Properly completes company paperwork and obtains all necessary signatures for billing purposes before end of shift.
- Maintains professional conduct and courteous interaction with all medical facility staff, fellow co-workers, and provides conscientious customer service.
- Must wear company uniforms as mandated in company uniform policy.
- Complies with all Federal State Laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Performs all duties as required by law and company policy
Qualifications
- Valid EMT certification with ability to practice in the state of NJ
- Current CPR certification for healthcare providers
- Acceptable driver's abstract for driver positions (Please submit a recent driver's abstract, which can be obtained from your local DMV. This will expedite the hiring process)
- All candidates will be subjected to testing requirements for Modivcare.
