Your Opportunity

The Honolulu, Hawaii office of Stantec is seeking a part-time Engineering Intern to join our multi-disciplinary team of integrated water professionals, each committed to delivering sound and strategic consulting services to a range of local, regional, state, and federal clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Understanding and working per the requirements of the Stantec Safety Culture.   • Working in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Stantec and its Clients.
  • Developing an understanding of applicable safety codes, regulations, and guidelines.

ROLE AND TASKS

  • Contribution to the preparation of quality technical documents and/or drawings to Stantec Water standards.
  • Contribution to design calculations, equipment/material specifications and data sheets, discipline design drawings etc. with required supervision commensurate with your level of experience.
  • Working with a multi-discipline engineering and design team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Coordinating of/participating in the preparation of project designs and details.
  • Participation in project meetings.
  • Perform various office tasks as required to deliver a quality product on schedule.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or secondary degree in the professional discipline related to this internship.
  • An interest in acquiring water specific experience in your discipline.
  • Proficiency with software relevant to the professional discipline of this internship.
  • You must be a self-starter and be able to work in a team setting.
  • Must have a good driving record and valid driver's license.
