Job Description
Scope:
At David’s Loft Clinical Programs, we owe our success to people and processes. A Transportation Driver is a supportive force behind both, and we are currently seeking someone exceptional to take the helm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting our clients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other outings in a safe, timely, and courteous manner. The Driver plays a vital role in supporting our clients’ recovery journey by providing a positive and dependable transportation experience.
Status: Non-Exempt
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport clients using a designated vehicle, ensuring the comfort and well-being throughout the journey
- Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, which may involve using a wheelchair, walker, or other mobility aids
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Adhere to established schedules and routes
- Maintain a clear and professional communication with clients, staff and healthcare providers
- Document transportation activities and complete trip logs as required
- May assist clients with errands or other needs as directed by staff
- Other duties as assigned within scope of role by the CEO to drive DLCP mission, values and vision
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year of safe driving experience
- Ability to lift and assist clients with limited mobility (up to 50 lbs)
- Excellent customer service skills and a patient, positive demeanor
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to safety

Physical Capacity:
Must be able to sit and stand for 20 minutes and lift at least 50 lbs.
