Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual who is interested in a collaborative teaching approach to education. The Employee shall be given the job title of Toddler/Preschool Teacher(“Position”) and your responsibilities will allow you to:

· Plan and execute developmentally appropriate projects, activities and games based on Reggio Emelia inspired curriculum educational goals and objectives

· Provide detailed lesson plans and supporting materials as they pertain to the curriculum

· Foster a loving and enthusiastic environment for the children who attend Little Lumens

· Facilitate the social, emotional and intellectual growth in our children by implementing stimulating, interesting and open-ended activities

· Cooperate with other members of the staff to enhance the team-based approach

· Utilize classroom management techniques to encourage and model routines/behavior using appropriate practices

· Maintain a safe, clean and inviting classroom that promotes the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of our young children

· Develop respectful relationships with children, families and team members

· Aid children with personal hygiene needs such as diaper changing, toileting and hand washing

· Participate in staff meetings, center activities and professional development

· Work with other team members to ensure all EEC requirements are met

Requirements:

-EEC Lead Teacher Certified
- Experience working with students in a daycare or childcare setting
- Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum development
- Familiarity with working with toddlers and providing age-appropriate care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children
- Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality

- First Aid and CPR Certified

- Have up to date PQR profile in EEC LEAD portal

- Ability to pass CORI background check

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
