Thrift Store Retail Store Associate I

Part-time, Thursday Friday Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sunday 10am - to 3pm

Responsible for interacting with customers and employees to create a positive, friendly environment both in store and at locations during a delivery or pick up of donations. The associate maximizes sales by recognizing and accepting donations that are of high resale value, returning items to the sales floor to achieve a neat, clean, and organized store that represents The Arc brand.

Essential Functions

1. Ensures that routine sales and donation activities are processed accurately;

2. Maintains a cheerful, welcoming, and supportive attitude toward all customers, staff,

volunteers, and donors to promote an inviting work and sales environment;

3. Process retail sales transactions accurately;

4. Ensures the proper management of donations and merchandise for maximum display and

sales activity;

5. Must be able to perform basic lifting of 50 lbs. and physical movement activities associated

with furniture and merchandise placement;

6. Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule for retail and agency business;

Must have a current driver’s license valid in the state of New Jersey and driving record acceptable to insurance and regulatory requirements.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
