Boise School District Support Staff - A Rewarding Career Serving Students & Our Community (video link)
ERR: Extended Resource Room
Students with a variety of moderate-severe disabilities in grades K-12 receive the majority of their instruction in a setting outside the general education classroom. Instruction in pre-academic, basic academic, social and behavioral skills is provided on an individual and small-group basis. Pre-vocational and independent life skills instruction is an important component at the secondary level. Students assigned to these classes are included on a part-time basis in general education classes. These classrooms typically have 12-14 students and several classroom assistants.
Once hired, you may be reassigned to another special education classroom or location depending on District need.
