HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

  • Employee Advocacy: Serve as a trusted ally for our team members, promptly addressing their concerns and ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Conflict Resolution: Navigate and resolve intricate employee issues with finesse, employing a blend of empathy, tact, and assertiveness to foster positive outcomes and maintain harmony within the team.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive efficiency and accuracy in HR operations, meticulously managing databases, streamlining processes, and implementing best practices to ensure seamless functioning of our HR systems. Daily and accurate operation of Human Resource databases; EAS, Optimum 8 and UKG applications
  • Maintain Records and Compliance: Keep accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Track minor labor to avoid violations and stay within company, state and federal laws.
  • Communication Hub: Serve as a central point of contact for HR-related inquiries, offering clear and concise guidance to employees, and facilitating open channels of communication to enhance transparency and trust.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to all employees over the phone and in person, promptly addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, and ensuring clear communication and follow-up to uphold satisfaction and trust.
  • Fully Understand and Demonstrate Six Flags Culture, Values, and Company Policy: Immersing yourself in Six Flags' culture, values, and policies to effectively represent the company's ethos in all interactions.
  • Strategic Partner: Collaborate closely with departmental leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, leveraging your insights and expertise to drive initiatives that nurture talent, promote growth, and elevate performance across the board.
  • Investigator: Employ empathetic inquiry and thorough investigation techniques to uncover root causes of employee concerns, maintaining impartiality and adherence to legal regulations while effectively communicating findings and facilitating conflict resolution to promote a positive work environment.
  • Policy Enforcement: Adhere strictly to Six Flags Fiesta Texas handbook policies at all times, setting the standard for professionalism and conduct while ensuring compliance with park regulations and protocols. Inputs, tracks, and counsels team member attendance and other policy violations. Adheres to and models Grooming, Guest First, and Safety Standards to set a benchmark for excellence.
  • Ensure Cleanliness and Organization of the Team Service Office: Upholding a clean and organized environment in the TSO to provide a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist with Various Projects and Training Initiatives: Supporting HR projects, conducting research, and attending training to enhance departmental effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Other HR and Functional Teams: Collaborating with other HR teams and departments to achieve common goals and support organizational objectives.
  • Support Positive Work Environment Initiatives: Implementing initiatives to foster a positive and healthy work environment across all departments.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Available to work up to 30 hours a week.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, manage time/tasks effectively, maintain control over current cases/responsibilities and follows up on all relevant issues
  • Willing to quickly learn and conduct HR related investigations and utilize HR related software – Optimum 8, Smartsheets, Ultipro/UKG and EAS
  • Discrete approach to sensitive, confidential and complex employee relations issues
  • Friendly, outgoing personality, and the desire to interact with employees
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a sense of teamwork and positive attitude
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be confident and able to coach and engage with employees of all ages
  • Basic computer skills, along with Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency

  • May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole
  • Reports to Human Resources Leadership
