What we're looking for We are looking for a Part Time Recreation Association Maintenance Technician to join our team.

A person acting in this position must have a strong understanding of building and home maintenance coupled with attention to detail.

In order for this candidate to be successful, he/she must be highly self-motivated and directed, committed to solving problems efficiently, and interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous growth and improvement.

This is a position that must be able to interact with a diverse team and respond quickly to requests from community associations.

What you'll do

Will be responsible for maintenance of common areas of managed Recreation Associations facilities including building entrances, parking lot, lobby areas, walkways, pump rooms, sidewalks, pool decks, community rooms, Manager Offices, beach front, and other various facilities

Will be responsible for preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance when called upon during work hours or after hours.

Communication with Maintenance Supervisor, Manager, team members, members of Board of Directors, homeowners and their guests.

Familiarity with cell phones, reliable internet, tablets and laptops

Ability to learn and operate current work order software.

Performing inspections of Recreation buildings and facilities on a daily basis for proper operation and function.

Performing snow removal during storms to include plowing, salting and shoveling of sidewalks, parking lots and certain Recreation parking spaces

Strong Carpentry skills is a plus

Perform light electrical work including light bulb changes, receptacle changes, ballast replacements, pool motor wiring (assisted by trained employee)

Perform light plumbing to include pool pump pipe fixes/ replacement, outside shower fixes, tennis court irrigation, plumbing of sinks, toilets, showers, hot water heater, etc.

Perform light HVAC work when needed to include filter changes, condensation pump replacements, etc

Properly and safely operate a truck and trailer, tractor with cab, skid steer, golf cart, UTV, and Tram car when needed.

Perform various vehicle maintenance duties to include fluid changes, tire changes, tire plugging, air compressor operation, etc

Performing customer service and quality control

Skills you'll need

Evening and weekend availability a must

Ability to work on call in accordance to schedule

Applicants should have at least 2 years or more of experience using hand and power tools and must have an understanding of all general service trades such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and general maintenance skills

Have basic hand tools upon arrival

Applied verbal and written communications

Attention to detail

Internet access

Reasonable comfort level with computers

Reliable transportation is a must

Strong time managements skill to work with others or independently

Familiarity with pool/spa chemicals and operation are a plus.

Ability to learn in a fast paced work environment.

Ability to respond to emergency situations with urgency and professionalism.

Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance

Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.


$15 - $18 per hour depending on experience
