Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Operations Full-time Management in leading the Operations team to consistently deliver friendly, clean, fast, and safe service for park guests and a world class employment experience for our teams.


Job Duties:

  • Work in conjunction with the Operations Senior Leadership team towards executing departmental goals
  • Be knowledgeable of all Corporate and Operations policies and procedures
  • Administer and oversee the Operations Employment, Training, and Staff Development programs
  • Facilitate and oversee the training of all assigned Operations Teams from front line Team Members to Operational Supervisors to ensure training standards are consistently being met
  • Ability to evaluate entire Rides Department including all Supervisors, based on individual and team performance
  • Educate and oversee Supervisors and Team Leaders in giving proper disciplinary action
  • Train and coach teams how to provide Friendly, Clean, Fast, and Safe Service for our Guests
  • Train and coach leadership teams how to provide a world class employment experience for our teams
  • Responsible for the timely completion and communication of Team schedules, as well as ensuring proper staffing levels as pre-determined by budgetary guidelines
  • Assist Full-Time Management in monitoring budget expenses and labor costs
  • Responsible for ensuring a “Total Safety” environment that includes administration of a Safety Behavioral Auditing program for assigned teams
  • Respond to ride shutdowns; serving as a liaison between Operations and Maintenance, ensuring that safety protocol is being followed
  • Respond to and resolve Guest concerns as reported
  • Continually inspect all Guest and Employee areas to ensure a cleanliness standard of excellence is maintained
  • Inspect the cleanliness and organization of equipment and supply inventories to ensure teams have the right tools
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of cleaning lists and be able to enhance and modify when necessary
  • Serve as an Operations Department Coordinator (Unit 205)
  • Cross-functional with Park Services, be able to serve as Park Services Department Coordinator (Unit 255)
  • All Other duties as assigned


Ideal candidates should possess:

  • HS diploma and some college preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Minimum one year Six Flags Operations Supervisory experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, hands-on/mentoring leadership style, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to anticipate future needs and take appropriate independent action
  • Ability work well and problem solve in a team environment
  • Excellent administrative skills; including organization, time management, and a strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required, with ability to gain a working knowledge of additional programs such as the Seasonal Labor Tracking System (SLTS)
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and extended hours when needed, including evenings/weekends/holidays
  • Must be available to report to duty as needed with limited advance notice
  • Must be able to work well with departments outside of Operations
  • Professional appearance and attitude at all times
