Job Summary: This is a part time position, up to 24 hours per week; some Saturdays may be required. The Sales Associate is a member of the Center for Family Violence Prevention staff who is responsible for assisting the store Manager and other staff in carrying out the goals and objectives of My Sister’s Attic as established by the store manager.

Reporting Relationship: The Sales Associate reports to the store Manager and Assistant Manager.

Primary Duties/Functions:

• Responsible for assisting the My Sister’s Attic Manager in ensuring that donations are accepted using established donation guidelines
• Responsible for maintaining confidential status of donors
• Responsible for assisting cleanliness of store and assisting staff with merchandise displays
• Responsible for ensuring that the floor is neat and merchandised items are in appropriate place
• Responsible for assisting with tagging and putting merchandise on sales floor
• Responsible for assisting employees and customers with loading and unloading merchandise
• Assist customers, answer customer inquires/questions
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager and/or Executive Director
• Act as cashier

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

General understanding of the principal of retail sales

Must have Square POS experience

Strong communication skills

Heavy lifting required (must be able to lift over 50 lbs)

Customer service experience required

Retail experience required
