We’re looking for an experienced, motivated, and independent Retail Store Associate to join our team of Smart, Kind, Makers!

WEBS - America’s Yarn Store is a true destination for yarn crafters with the biggest range of any local yarn store in the United States. Based in Northampton, Massachusetts, our Retail Associates are responsible for the excellent customer service and crafting expertise that is always the top priority in the store. The Retail team is dedicated to fostering the magic that makes a trip to WEBS so incredible and works hard to ensure a collaborative and creative environment that upholds the LoveCrafts/WEBS culture.

A warm, enthusiastic personality, coupled with a desire to provide the best service to customers while supporting fellow team members, makes a perfect candidate for this role!

This role reports to the Store Manager.

What you’ll do:

• Possess and demonstrate incredible customer service skills
• Have strong knowledge of fiber arts, fiber and a passion for it all!
• Provide timely and efficient order processing at the POS
• Able to interpret knitting and/or crochet patterns to assist our customers with appropriate yarn selections
• Able to proactively be part of team of professionals and be aligned with the goals of Webs and LoveCrafts to support an nurture all Smart, Kind Makers
• Use your interpersonal skills to work well with all team members and customers to help the store reach its goals

Who you are:

• You possess extensive retail skills and experience
• You bring a passion for fiber and fiber arts
• You have better than average skills in knitting or crochet
• You are someone who doesn’t get flustered easily and thrives in a collaborative environment

What you get:

• This is a part-time role. Part-time employees generally work less than 30 hours per week, but with additional hours occasionally available for vacation coverage, inventory and special events,
• The starting wage is $16.75/hour.

• WEBS is open from 10am - 5:30pm Monday - Saturday, with extended evening hours on Thursdays (until 7:00pm). This role will require availability during these times, with a strong emphasis on the Thursday closing shift.
