Job Description

PROGRAM ASSISTANT TEAM MEMBER

Atlanta Animal Rescue Friends is currently seeking a Program Assistant Team Member. Job responsibilities include caring for cats onsite, including dosing medications, scooping litter boxes, feeding, and general cleaning and maintenance, assisting with our Community Pet Food Pantry, assisting with our TNR program. Responsibilities will also include providing support in our pet supply retail store as needed, including providing customer assistance with products, checking customers out and restocking shelves.

Candidates should:

· be available to work 30-40 hours per week, including evenings and/or weekends.

· have relevant experience and a willingness to increase knowledge in cat care

· have relevant retail experience and a willingness to increase knowledge of pet products

· be able to lift 40 pounds.

· have proficiency in basic technology.

· be a team player.

· enjoy a fast-paced environment.

· enjoy working with a diverse group of colleagues and customers.

Preference will be given to the following candidates with:

· veterinary technician experience

· experience in animal welfare and/or pet supply retail

· experience in cat care

· flexible schedules

· familiarity with AARF and AARF Pet Central

· familiarity with Stone Mountain Village

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • high school graduation, GED or equivalent basic technology skills

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
