As a Personal Wellness Companion at The Grandfriends, your role is to provide compassionate, non-medical support to individuals in need of companionship and assistance with everyday tasks. You will be responsible for fostering a warm and engaging environment, promoting overall well-being, and enhancing the quality of life for those under your care.
Responsibilities:
1. Companionship: Build meaningful connections and provide emotional support by engaging in conversations, listening attentively, and sharing in activities that bring joy and fulfillment.
2. Personal Assistance: Assist with essential tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, organizing, and running errands, ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment.
3. Mobility and Safety: Provide physical support and assistance with mobility, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during walks, outings, and daily routines.
4. Personal Care: Support with grooming, dressing, and maintaining personal hygiene, promoting dignity and self-esteem.
5. Cognitive Stimulation: Engage clients in stimulating activities, including puzzles, games, and hobbies, to promote mental acuity and cognitive well-being.
6. Emotional Support: Offer a sympathetic ear, understanding, and empathy to clients' emotional needs, creating a trusting and comforting environment.
7. Transportation: Drive clients to appointments, social events, or accompany them on recreational outings, ensuring safe and timely travel.
8. Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with clients' families and healthcare professionals, providing updates on their overall well-being and any specific needs or concerns.
9. Documentation: Accurately document daily engagements, observations, and tasks completed, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
