Job Description

Summary: Five Hours per week, must be a current college student. To educate and recruit individuals receiving more than 10 hours of PCA services per day in a PCA choice environment on the PCA College Service Corps program and encourage them to apply. Participants in this program direct their own care and need assistance with critical support, also known as Activities of Daily Living in order to live independently. Establish partnerships with Minnesota based PCA Agencies and disability community networks to encourage and facilitate provider participation. This position provides support that fosters responsive respectfulness, empowerment, creativity, two-way communication and accountability.


Duties and Responsibilities
include the following:


  • Effectively communicate with PCA program participants and PCA providers and program managers to recruit participants for MCIL's PCA College Service Corps pilot in order to reach recruitment goals, under the direction of the program Manager.*

  • Initiate program presentations intended to inform and recruit participants to the program.*

  • Perform administrative duties including: appointment scheduling, producing written correspondence/documents, managing files, placing/receiving telephone calls and mail/paper/information coordination.*

  • Act as a direct liaison to program participants and PCA agencies.*

  • Oversight of administrative projects on behalf of the PCA College Service Corps team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of projects.

  • Carry out other duties assigned by the team Manager.

  • Promote the mission, operating values and agency services of MCIL.*
