We are a mental health agency that offers Individual and Family therapy services.
Job Summary:
The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization. He/she will be responsible for handling incoming calls, scheduling appointments, verifying eligibility, and initiating the pre-intake/registration process of collecting documents with client contact, insurance, and demographic information. Maintaining client confidentiality is essential.
Duties/Responsibilities :
- Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks to clinical and billing teams
- Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
- Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Participates in the medical office emergency routine when required. Summons ambulance or EMS
Assists other staff members as needed.
Required Skills /Abilities :
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
- Ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Ability to be flexible and function independently.
- Be able to work as a team is a must.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
- Must be able to lift up-to 15 pounds at times.
Schedule:
- Part time position working 20 – 25 hours per week; evenings required, no weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
