Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of our financial processes and will require a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices. Must be available Monday through Friday during normal business hours as needed.
Duties
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial statements.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and balances.
- Assist in public accounting tasks as needed, including audits and compliance checks.
- Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures to maintain financial health.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Handle governmental accounting responsibilities as required by regulations.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to ensure all accounts are accurate and up-to-date.
- Maintain double-entry bookkeeping practices to ensure comprehensive financial records.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with public accounting principles is a plus.
- Experience with budgeting and payroll management is highly desirable.
- Ability to use ten key adding machine quickly and effectively.
- Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation effectively.
- Proficient in double-entry bookkeeping methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
