Job Description

Resort Lifestyle Communities is a family-owned company with over two decades of experience specializing in providing all-inclusive, independent, resort-style senior living retirement communities for individuals aged 55 and over across the nation. Our Home Office is located in Lincoln, Nebraska, and we are experiencing rapid growth and expansion.

Position Overview:
We are currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dedicated team at our Corporate Home Office in Lincoln, Nebraska. As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will provide accounting assistance to the Accounting Department with a primary focus on data entry and expenditure processing for Community Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable – Review expenditure coding and approve invoices/credit card transactions. Assist with data entry integrations to help ensure complete financial records and timely vendor payments. Respond to vendor and manager inquiries. Resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
  • Community Accounting – Assist with community check requests and monthly culinary invoice reconciliations.
  • General Office and Accounting Duties – Answer the telephone, route invoices, assist with tax jurisdiction payments, and prepare accounting entries.
  • Proficient company software utilization - Including Sage 300 accounting modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, property management and cash management applications; Timberscan, Concur, AvidXchange and future platforms.
Cross-Training/Potential Focus Areas and Opportunities
  • Compliance & Analysis – Support compliance team with monthly and quarterly preparation of sales & use tax returns.
  • Community Accounting – Support Community Accountants in completing month-end financial statements within internally established deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in accounting or equivalent work experience in accounting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office software including spreadsheets, word processing and database applications.
  • Service oriented, with ability to communicate respectfully, compassionately, and effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to learn quickly with little supervision.
