Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Outreach Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about community engagement and possess a diverse skill set that includes being knowledgeable of NWLA community resources and service providers. The Specialist engages with stakeholders, disseminate information to stakeholders and possible participants; screen referrals, host events and make referrals to HVRP program, as well as participate in community events representing the agencies.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement outreach activities to engage the community

- Educate the public on the organization's mission and services

- Conduct fundraising activities to support outreach initiatives

- Work closely with community agencies, businesses, local officials and program participants to assure coordination of various program aspects and services available for the benefit of veterans that are homeless and in need of sustainable employment, as well as other services

-Provide general information to community agencies, social services and religious organizations, potential employers and other stakeholders

- Participate in and host outreach and networking activities

- Prepare and complete outreach tracking forms

- Maintain confidentiality

- Maintain consistent communication and positive working relationships with other nonprofits, businesses, community interest and potential employers.

- Plan and host events inclusive of groups and community resources to include attending regular community meetings.

- Distribute and design promotional materials for ELLE Foundation HVRP services

- Attend events and community activities where population may be reached

- Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts

Requirements:

- Proven experience in outreach or related field
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in project management and program development
- Excellent data collection and analysis abilities
- Knowledge of marketing principles for outreach purposes

Pay: $16.00 - $16.66 per hour
