Job Description
Boise National Forest is recruiting eight 680 HR Forestry Technician (Developed Recreation) AmeriCorps Members beginning May through September 2024 (dates can be flexible depending on selectee’s schedule). Incumbent will maintain recreation facilities and brushing, logging, and construction trail tread system trails on the NZ of the Boise NF. This placement will typically work four 10-hour days per week Mondays through Thursday.
Member Duties : Duties will include serving with FS employees constructing, cleaning, maintaining recreation facilities, taking water samples, and collecting fees. This requires hiking/ working outdoors with a partner and/ or independently. The placement time will be split with 50% of the job consisting of rental cabin maintenance and 50% campground maintenance.
