Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated, laser focused, empathetic individuals who have a desire to help borrowers navigate the difficulty of mortgage delinquency. Borrower's situations can range from being in bankruptcy, being impacted by natural disasters, becoming unemployed, etc. Our is to work with borrowers to either help them avoid becoming delinquent in their mortgage payments or to help them get their mortgage back in good standing. To be successful as a mortgage representative, the individual will need to have open communication with borrowers to educate them on options to help their situation as well as be firm to stress the importance of making their payments timely.

Mortgage Services Representative-Default and Customer Service Divisions:

Position Overview:

A Service Representative handles billing and collections inquiries for the organization's mortgage clients. Representatives are responsible for making outbound calls to borrowers that are past due on their mortgage payments. They will also be taking inbound calls and assisting borrowers with any needs and questions they may have. Representatives will be required to hit production and performance goals established by our mortgage clients.

A successful Mortgage services Representative will:

Be excellent at multi-tasking.

Be Proficient in email etiquette and have excellent communication skills.

Have the ability to successfully perform under pressure.

Be motivated and driven to exceed daily/monthly performance and call metrics.

Maintain superb attention to detail.

Have the ability to be firm with borrowers while showing empathy and being respectful.

Understand the importance of maintaining near perfect attendance.

Be self-aware of strengths and weaknesses and accept instructions for performance building.

Have above average understanding of computers and the ability to learn multiple systems.

Be able to motivate themselves in what can be a monotonous routine of working on the phone.

Other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

1 year experience within a call center handling debt collection.

Proven performance with emphasis on calls, contacts, promises, payment overage and all elements of bank and retail collections (preferred)

Ability to work from home independently in a quiet and uninterrupted environment

Must understand the negotiation process and be able to obtain the maximum possible payment relative to each consumer’s financial situation

Must be able to take constructive criticism to strive for success

High School Diploma or equivalent

Stellar attendance and punctuality REQUIRED

Good tenure at previous jobs (2+ years in a relevant field)

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 11:00-4:00 Days to include: peak days of the 1st, 2nd, 15th, 30th and 31st of the month as well as all Mondays and the day immediately following a holiday. Candidates will work a minimum of two days per week to keep skills sharp.

Training: Training will for 4 weeks on Tues, Wed and Thurs. from 11-4

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
