Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Manager to join our team. As a Merchandise Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising operations of our retail store. This includes managing inventory, creating visually appealing displays, and ensuring that merchandise is clean, stocked, and presented in an attractive manner.

Duties:
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and meet company goals
- Plan and execute floor layouts and product displays to maximize visual appeal and optimize customer flow
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure adequate stock levels
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate inventory counts and minimize shrinkage
- Train and develop staff on effective merchandising techniques, including proper product placement and visual design principles
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional displays and signage
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales data, identify trends, and make informed merchandising decisions
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to inform merchandising strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding merchandising standards, safety protocols, and cleanliness

Skills:
- Strong understanding of retail math principles for inventory management and sales analysis
- Proficiency in visual design principles to create appealing product displays
- Experience operating a cash register and conducting cash handling procedures
- Ability to develop training programs and effectively train staff on merchandising techniques
- Knowledge of interior design concepts for creating aesthetically pleasing store layouts
- Familiarity with reading schematics for product placement and store layout planning
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure merchandise is clean, stocked, and presented accurately
- Proven track record of driving sales through effective merchandising strategies
- Leadership abilities to motivate and inspire a team
