We seek an enthusiastic Medical Assistant and Administrator to become an integral part of our team. We are willing to train an excellent candidate with no prior medical experience.

This is not your typical sterile medical setting! Our small staff works well together to create a stress-free, vibrant environment and we have fun doing it!

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Loves engaging with people and has a high-energy, positive demeanor.
  • Has training or experience as a Medical Assistant, especially with electronic medical records, scheduling, and patient care.
  • Shows keen interest in health, wellness, and holistic practices.
  • Is open to learning and growing within our unique healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant (MA) certification is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Athena Health EMR.
  • Experience dealing with insurance and medical office protocols.

Compensation:

  • $17-$22 per hour, depending on experience and skill level.
  • Hours:
  • This position starts part-time with 21-32 hours per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with Monday and Friday being mandatory).

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting clinical providers with tasks such as patient intake, checking vitals, performing EKGs, Flu and COVID testing, administering injections, handling medication/treatment authorizations, ordering medical supplies, and preparing/cleaning treatment rooms.
  • Front desk reception on Friday and as needed: scheduling, confirming appointments, patient check-in/out, answering calls, scanning documents and managing correspondence.
  • Ensuring the office remains tidy and well-organized, including managing the dishwasher, laundry, and kitchen areas.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Reliable, consistently on-time team player
  • Proficiency in medical office management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively handle front desk responsibilities.
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - Athena Health is a significant plus.
