Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a Part-Time Group Co-Leader, specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mindfulness and therapeutic group work, with an eagerness to learn and teach DBT skills. Key Responsibilities:

- Co-facilitate therapy groups, providing guidance and support to participants as they work through various DBT modules.

- Lead mindfulness exercises at the beginning of each session to help group members center their thoughts and prepare for learning.

- Review homework assignments with group members, ensuring comprehension and providing constructive feedback to facilitate skill development.

- Teach DBT skills effectively to individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs, adapting teaching methods as necessary for optimal group engagement and understanding.

- Prepare for each group session with thorough research and planning to ensure high-quality delivery of DBT content.

- Collaborate with fellow co-leader(s) and clinical staff to maintain a safe and therapeutic group environment.

- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss group dynamics, individual client progress, and to receive ongoing training in DBT.

- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications:

- Current LMHC licensure in good standing.

- Experience in leading or co-leading therapeutic groups, with a focus on mindfulness-based interventions.

- Demonstrated ability to engage clients and facilitate skill-building exercises.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

- Proactive, self-starter attitude with a commitment to personal and professional growth in the field of DBT.

- Previous experience in DBT is not required, but a willingness to undergo intensive training and become a skilled DBT practitioner is essential.
