Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel. In this position, you will be responsible for organizing, cleaning and sorting hotel linens, including sheets and towels. The position also requires you to use our provided cleaning materials to tackle items in need of extra attention.
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
Monitor feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor.
Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
Lift clean, wet articles from the washer and places them successively into wringers and driers for measured time cycles.
Sort dried articles according to identification number or type.
Fold and place items in an appropriate storage bin.
Ensure cleanliness of equipment and surrounding work area.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular scheduled basis.

Can communicate well with guests.
Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. Ability to prioritize and organize work.
