Job Description:

We’re searching for a hard-working janitor/landscaper maintenance person to add to our growing staff. In this position, it will be your job to keep our building and grounds clean. As part of that goal, you’ll be asked to complete many different tasks. Some of your other tasks will include disposing of trash, collecting waste from throughout the building, and possibly some detail work on boats.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning tasks throughout our building

Vacuum, sweep, and mop the floors

Clean up spills and other messes as they arise

Restock supplies in the restrooms and ensure that it remains sanitary

Maintain our cleaning supplies and equipment

Apply pesticides to remove harmful insects such as mosquitos and wasps.

Trim and edge around walks, flower beds and walls

Remove weeds and dead plants as needed to preserve the health and natural beauty of the plants.

Trim overgrown limbs, hedges and leaves to ensure an appealing look to the area.

Maintain landscaping equipment and supplies.

Requirements and skills

Proficiency with basic cleaning equipment, products, and techniques

Physical ability to remain standing for most of your shift

Ability to handle basic maintenance tasks is preferred.

Must be able to operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
