Department Summary:
The Cambridge Hospital Float Pool provides care with an emphasis on culturally sensitive, evidence based nursing practice. While regularly scheduled, the members of the float pool are deployed on a shift by shift to provide nursing care to patients in various units at Cambridge Hospital.

Job Purpose:
The Hospital Aide II knows and understands the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Nursing Service. Under the supervision of the professional nurse, the Hospital Aide provides basic nursing care to assigned patients. We are currently seeking experienced Hospital Aides to join our Hospital in our Float Pool. You will be required to float to the various units as needed. In this role, you will provide patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will also maintain a clean and safe patient care environment. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma
AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider
One year of previous experience as a nursing assistant
OR Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation
OR Completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program
OR equivalent experience as determined by the CNO or designee
