Shifts Available: PM and Overnight shifts

  • PM shifts 1pm-9:30pm & 2pm-10:30pm (does include every other weekend) 40+ hours per pay period.
  • Over Night Tues and Sunday (shift is allowed to sleep 2am-6am)
  • Must be available to work every other weekend and every other Holiday.

What does a Home Care Aid worker do?

Our Home Care Aid Workers are responsible for assisting residents who are mentally ill or developmentally disabled with their daily activities of living.

· As a Home Care Aid worker you will monitor, provide support and supervision to the residents.

· You would also complete annual training in the following areas: First Aid, Mental Health Diagnosis, Recovery, Evidence Based Practice, Community Resources, Duel Diagnosis, Medication and there side effects and de-escalation.

· The Home Care Aid worker would initiate and participate in social/recreational activities with residents as scheduled.

· You may need to assist residents with personal cares or self-help skills such as grooming and hygiene.

· The Home Care Aid worker will be trained to perform supervision of self-administration of medications.

· This position will also perform basic housekeeping such as but limited to, laundry, setting tables for meals, cleaning bathrooms, etc.

· No experience necessary, will train.

Wages: Starting wage of $16.00 per hour.

  • Paid Time Off starts accruing on your first day of employment.
  • After the first 2 months of employment, employees are eligible for health insurance if they average 30 hours per week. This benefit has very affordable premiums and is partially paid for by St. William’s Living Center.
  • After the first 2 months of employment, employees are eligible for dental insurance if they average 20 hours per week. This benefit is partially paid for by St. William’s Living Center.
  • After the first 2 months of employment, employees are eligible for voluntary benefits such as disability, accident, life, cancer, critical illness, and hospital confinement indemnity insurance.
  • After 6 months of employment, employees who average 20 hours of work per week will provide a $25,000 life insurance policy. This is fully paid for by the employer.
  • After 6 months of employment if you average 20 hours per week, St. William’s Living Center will contribute the equivalent of 3.5% of the employee’s gross wages into a 401k account. Employee contribution is not required.

Requirements of a Home Care Aid:

  • Individuals must also pass a state-required background study.
  • Must be 16 years old or older.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lifting up to 30 lbs to a height of 4 feet.
  • Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with the resident and personnel.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the facility.
  • Good and effective communication is a must.
