The Athletic Department is seeking employment applications for gym attendants and scorekeepers for the basketball league, starting December through March. Applicants must be able to work on Saturdays from 8:15am - as late as 8:30pm. Minimum age 16 for scorekeepers and 21 (with 1 year of experience) for gym attendants. Minimum pay is $15.00/hour.
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge and understanding of current rules of the sport and County procedures.
  • Ability to deal with difficult people
Responsibilities:
  • Record a running score and time, manually or electronically, for various sports leagues/tournaments.
  • Keep a recorded book of the running score, fouls and time-outs for various leagues/tournaments in accordance with sport/program rules.
  • Provide on-site operational support for leagues/tournaments.
  • Manage emergencies and safety measures, in accordance with the policies and procedures manual.
  • Handle any situations on-site that may arise such as protests, official no-shows, rule questions, inclement weather, emergencies, incidents, etc
  • Ability to understand and interpret sport-specific rules and County procedures.
  • Report game results in a timely manner.
