Job Title: GENERAL UTILITY WORKER

SUMMARY

Performs a variety of transport and sanitation functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains friendly, efficient, Spirit of Service attitude towards customers, co-workers and clients.

Cleans all equipment and surfaces according to departmental procedures and schedules.

Prepares dish room and dish machine prior to use. Loads and unloads dish machine following established procedures.

Logs dish machine temperatures. Ensures dish machine temperatures are in compliance with standards. Notifies supervisor of any deviations.

Thoroughly scrapes, soaks, washes and sanitizes pots and pans.

Transports supplies to various areas of the department and facility.

May deliver food trucks to floors. May collect trays from patient areas.

May assist in unloading deliveries and placing stock in storeroom or refrigerators/freezers.

Removes trash and garbage to disposal area. Cleans trash containers. May be required to operate dish machine, compactor and garbage disposal.

Sweeps and mops kitchen, production, service and cafeteria floors on a routine basis.

Ensures trays, utensils and all equipment are clean prior to placing in service.

Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures.

Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
