THE JOB

The role of a Food Dispatcher is tasked with safely and promptly receiving and delivering all food products and equipment to the designated kitchen or event staging area.

THE PAY RATE: Starting at $20.47

THE DAY TO DAY

• Receive and deliver all food items and kitchen equipment to designated areas for banquet functions promptly and safely, even under pressure.

• Keep and organize banquet event orders to ensure smooth execution of events.

• Read and understand interdepartmental transfer requisitions to fulfill requests accurately.

• Follow correct inventory control and receiving procedures to maintain accurate stock levels and prevent waste.

• Communicate effectively and follow the direction of the Convention Services Team, Room Chefs, and Executive Chef to ensure seamless coordination.

• Perform any other job-related duties as required, always maintaining a professional and proactive approach.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• An enthusiastic individual to join our diverse and unified team, working collaboratively to meticulously manage and execute tasks

• Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment as well as proficiency in operating manual and electric pallet jacks/riders, motorized carts, and delivery box trucks

• Prior inventory and/or warehouse experience is a plus

• Knowledge of computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, AS400, Stratton Warren System, Coupa, Amadeus.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in a similar role preferred.

• Must possess the ability to access all areas of the property, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in basic computer applications.

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
