Event Usher

JOB SUMMARY:

Duties will include, but are not limited to, line control, directing guests to their seats in the theaters and attractions (including Halloween mazes), set-up of the theater or attraction before performances, housekeeping of theater or location, hospitality and VIP support for name talent events, answering questions, monitoring wage and hour compliance, assisting guests and providing the high level of service that we expect our employees to provide our Guests. Priority is to ensure guest safety when entering and exiting an Entertainment Attraction or location and maintaining a clean safe facility. Absolutely must have a positive, can-do attitude and love creating FUN experiences!

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

• Reports directly to the Promotional Events and Entertainment Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Constantly standing, talking, climbing walking, reaching, using finger movement, grasping, feeling, speaking clearly, hearing conversation, using hearing acuity, seeing near far, stooping, bending, kneeling.
• Must be to work in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
• Must be able to operate sound, lighting and other theatre equipment
• Must be able to follow a rotating schedule of ushering shows and working backstage as a stagehand
• Assist with product installation and venue preparation
• Required to work various shifts, including nights, weekends and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Must be able to carry 5 to 10 pounds of weight
• Exposure to smoke and lighting effects
• Must have strong teamwork skills and the ability to work with others
• Must be professional, self-motivated, the ability to multi-task and have an enthusiastic attitude
