CHI Health St. Mary’s has served Nebraska City and the surrounding areas since 1927. In the fall of 2014 St. Mary’s opened the doors of a brand-new fully modernized facility. Responsibilities

Job Summary / Purpose

Responsible for maintenance of health records on all employees/clients screened at events. Promotes Employee health, wellness and safety through a variety of programs, pamphlets and special events throughout the year. Provides individual education/counseling. Must have the ability to be trained and to teach Cooper Clayton Smoking Cessation classes as well as other programs and classes as necessary to the needs of the position. Actions are in accordance with the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act and established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.


Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts/coordinates health screens on new employees/clients.
  • Administers TB testing (as needed) to all employees/clients according to state regulation and hospital policy.
  • Provides education for employees/clients and assists with in-service programs and health screenings at various locations to include Cooper Clayton Smoking Cessation Classes.
  • Provides immunization program to employees/clients per Employee Health and Wellness policy.
  • Evaluates employees/clients in need of health services and arranges for appropriate treatment or referral.
  • Collaborates on activities to promote and/or maintain employee/client health.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information of the Human Resources Department.
  • Contributes to the efficient operation of the Human Resources Department.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professional competence and strives for professional growth.
  • Assists in delivering high quality health care services in a professional, compassionate, and courteous manner while respecting the dignity and individuality of each person who comes in contact with the organization by following the Standards of Excellence, the Standards of Behavior, and the Standards of Professional Appearance and Conduct.
  • Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications

Required Education and Experience


Associate’s degree or diploma in nursing is required


Required Licensure and Certifications


Registered Nurse with the state where employed.

CPR with the American Heart Association required (CPR:BLS)


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

Minimum of two years of nursing experience in Occupational
Medicine, physician office, clinic, or hospital.
Minimum of two years of nursing experience in emergency room or critical care preferred.

Pay Range

$23.81 - $34.53 /hour
