ADMINISTRATION & EDUCATION ASSISTANT

Arrow Preparatory Academy seeks an outstanding Education assistant who is committed to teach, nurture, personify our core values, embrace our vision and mission, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment with both students, parents, and administration. Our staff seek God first and provide a truly unique educational approach that is centered around the development of mind, heart and character.

We are looking for an individual who can support teachers and school administration in day to day activities. In our elementary classrooms this may look like leading small group activities, prepping materials, making copies and working one-on-one with students. Our assistant will be available to cover our teachers for breaks during the day or as a substitute when teachers are absent. We are looking for someone who can support our school administration team with tasks as needed such as managing drop off/pick up, manning the front desk, assisting injured students, execute events, day to day running of operations and be flexible and adaptable to help where there is need during the school day.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Love God and have a passionate heart for education
  • ​Experience working with with children of varying ages
  • Professional experience and/ or qualification in early years care or education
  • ​Punctual, diligent, persistent and ability to adapt

  • Able to help maintain a clean, organized classroom in line with teacher’s vision
  • Assist with student pick- up/ drop off
  • Assist with administrative activities such as overseeing the front desk, event set up, assisting injured children, etc.

Salary/Time Commitment:

  • Immediate Start
  • $18/hr.
  • 7:45 am - 3:45 pm with a 30 minute lunch break Monday, Wednesday, Friday (22.5 hrs/week)
  • some weeks less hours in line with breaks/days off in school calendar
  • reduced Summer hours
  • Will include some events outside of hours, will be notified in advance

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
