Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Donors’ Room Representative will provide exemplary customer service to Donors and potential Donors in the Donors’ Room before shows, during intermission and potentially after performances. This person will work a non-traditional schedule consisting of an average of 5 hour shifts in the evening (5:30pm-10:30pm) and some weekend afternoon shifts (11:00am-4:00pm). This position will work collaboratively with members of the Dr. Phillips Center team to advance its mission and goals while supporting its core values.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the primary Representative for the Donors’ Room during performances.
  • Assists in Donors’ Room set-up with Operations, Production and Food & Beverage. Ensure the Donors’ Room is adequately staffed and ready for guests.
  • Work with Donor Relations team to confirm nightly seating reservations for Judson's and communicate decision with Judson's leadership.
  • Greet Donors at the door and check them in. Converse with Donor Room guests and provide general information upon request. The Donors' Room Representative will remain a presence in the Donors’ Room during all performances and events.
  • Maintains a safe environment and responds to any concerns.
  • Input shift information into ArtsVision. Sends an end of shift recap to Development Team, Leadership and the appropriate departments.
  • Assist with other Donor Experiences as needed. Attend and participate in scheduled meetings.
  • Assist with administrative duties as assigned.
  • Follow and support all operational policies and procedures. Assimilate into the arts center culture through understanding, supporting and demonstrating the core values.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with other departments, colleagues, and partners.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy. Maintain Dr. Phillips Center standards of customer service at all times.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms.
  • Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, sponsors, Donors and prospective Donors.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to demonstrate diplomacy in high stress situations.
  • Ability to multi-task and to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position requires the ability to work a variable schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
  • Candidates must wear professional attire when working in the Donors' Room.
