Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute marketing campaigns for Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor Arlington for festivals, special events, and entertainment shows-which are all intended to drive growth of attendance and enjoyment at the parks.
- Deliver effective marketing programs to help our reputation and growth.
- Responsible for implementation of innovative campaigns for branding or product launches.
- Oversee the creation of content for external communication, including social media, website, print collateral, etc.
- Oversee the company’s social media channels to ensure brand uniformity.
- Stay current and create social media content with trends; including interpreting insights to improve engagement and account reach.
- Develop and oversee a user-generated content program to increase social interaction.
- Actively monitor and oversee media contact list for distribution purposes.
- Manage the dissemination of collateral and promotional pieces to media contacts.
- Coordination of media events and live shots, including new ride openings.
- Assist with, and in some cases, manage, park photo and production shoots.
- Research target audiences, recording data from campaign results to add to future reports.
- Develop communication tools for senior management and other internal needs.
- Oversee the press pass request program.
- Serve as point person for in-park events for the Marketing Division.
- Serve as an active contributor to weekly brainstorming sessions for external communication and marketing.
- Assist with other duties within the Marketing Division as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of college education (Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related majors).
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
- Expert-level skills in graphic design, photography, video production, and social media skills.
- Excellent administrative skills, including organization and time management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and creative thinker.
- Ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously and meet deadlines in an efficient manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Photography skills a plus.
- Basic Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Willingness to study and become well versed with the park product and benefits to help successfully escort members of the media around both parks – Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor.
- Understanding of social networking and social media best practices of Facebook, X, and Instagram.
- Strengths in time management and multi-tasking.
- Self-motivator and the ability to interact well with other employees and departments.
- Strong sense of integrity.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish a plus.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours when needed.
- Must be able to report to duty as needed, with limited notice during situations such as inclement weather preparation/recovery.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
