Job Description

We are hiring for a position as a receptionist in our growing pediatric dental office! We are small dental practice with one pediatric dentist and an orthodontist, looking for the right candidate to add to our team. Experience is preferred, but willing to train.

SCHEDULE

  • Tuesday (10am-6pm); summer hours (9am-5pm)
  • Wednesday (10am-6pm); summer hours (9am-5pm)
  • Two Fridays a month (12pm-6pm); summer hours (9am-3pm)
  • Two Saturdays a month (8am-1pm); no summer Saturdays

JOB OVERVIEW

  • A Patient Service Administrator is a skilled administrative team member with relevant patient service experience that is responsible for scheduling to meet production goals, presenting treatment plans and financial arrangements, collecting and posting of insurance and patient payments, overseeing office activities and otherwise serving as the senior team member in the office in the absence of a Practice Manager.

MINIMUM HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and computer skills.
  • Good interpersonal and phone skills.
  • Can work well in a team setting.
  • Able to learn, take initiatives, and constructive criticism.

ESSENTIAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer incoming calls using proper telephone etiquette.
  • Respond to telephone inquiries from potential patients.
  • Manage patient appointments and scheduling for all staff providers, working to maintain full schedules and efficient office schedule flow using patient relationship management/callback systems.
  • Collect copayments and verify insurance coverage as appropriate.
  • Present financial policies and arrangements accurately to patients.
  • Collect and post payments and record receipts.
  • Collect balances owing from patients on date of service as well as past due balances when possible.
  • To the extent available, able and/or cross-trained, help any staff member that may be in need of assistance.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
