Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and a commitment to ensuring the best possible care for our patients. Experience is not required, as we provide on-site training for all new hires!
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take X-rays and perform medical imaging as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Carestack software, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Ensure the sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, making children feel comfortable during their visits.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with Carestack software is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or pediatric dentistry setting is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, parents, and team members.
