Waterfront Rescue Mission is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to serving the homeless and impoverished populations on the Gulf Coast. Waterfront has a mission in both Pensacola and Mobile and seven thrift stores. Position Summary:

Waterfront Mission is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The primary responsibility of the Data Entry Clerk will be to maintain our donor database, accurately process donations, and promptly send out receipts to our generous supporters. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our fundraising efforts and maintaining strong relationships with our donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Donor Database:
  • Enter and update donor information in the database with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Regularly clean and organize the database to ensure data integrity and completeness.
  • Assist in implementing procedures for efficient data management and retrieval.
  • Process Donations:
  • Receive and record incoming donations from various sources, including online platforms, checks, and cash.
  • Verify donation amounts and ensure they align with donor records.
  • Prepare and deposit checks in a timely manner.
  • Send Receipts:
  • Generate and send out donation receipts promptly, acknowledging contributions and expressing gratitude to donors.
  • Address any inquiries or discrepancies regarding donation receipts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate recording of donations and receipts.
  • Reporting:
  • Assist in generating reports on donation trends, fundraising activities, and donor engagement metrics as needed.
  • Provide support in analyzing data to identify opportunities for donor outreach and retention.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support to the development and fundraising team as needed.
  • Assist in organizing donor events, campaigns, and mailings.

Qualifications:

  • Exemplify and model Christian behaviors and values and possess high ethics, honesty, and character.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in data entry, donation processing, and office administration within a non-profit organization preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse groups of donors, staff, and community partners.
  • Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and databases.
  • Passionate about serving the community and working with individuals experiencing homelessness or poverty.
