ODNR owns and manages state parks, state forests, state nature preserves and wildlife areas. We license all hunting, fishing and watercraft; oversee and permit all mineral extraction, monitor dam safety, manage water resources and serve as the second largest Law Enforcement presence in the State of Ohio.
We are accepting applications for a part-time permanent Custodial Worker within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Buck Creek State Park, in Clark county. **THIS IS A PART-TIME PERMANENT POSITION BUDGETED FOR 1500 HOURS (approximately 28 HOURS/WEEK). This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.**

What You'll Do:

  • Work outside in some of the most beautiful parks in Ohio.
  • Performing housekeeping duties in our beautiful lodging cabins, common areas, public restrooms, shower houses and outdoor facilities.
  • Interact daily with a variety of customers who utilize the park & watercraft facilities.
  • Starting hourly pay of $17.20/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 3.5 years of service, with an end salary of $18.38/hr.

Qualifications

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading & speaking common English vocabulary. In accordance with Section 124.11(B)(2), revised code, Director of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
