Community Support Services Technician
Status: Part-time
Pay: Starting at $10.00/hr
Shift: 4:30 pm - 11:00 pm Monday - Friday (3-4 days per week) & Weekends vary: 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm - 12:00 am. May be required to work a 12-hour shift one weekend per month.
The Pines is a long-term treatment facility for women with children. The CSST position is to monitor the campus during non-clinical hours to assist the families and monitor the campus for safety.
Responsibilities/Function:
The Community Support Services Technician (CSST) is responsible for providing community support services for all individuals enrolled in services, as well as all children, guests and city or county officials. Must comply with all VOASE Personnel Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications:
The position requires a High School Diploma/GED. Security or social service experience is preferred. If in recovery, the Community Support Services Technician must have a minimum of two (2) years continuous sobriety. The position requires effective communication skills. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Must possess a valid GA drivers’ license and continually meet the requirements of VOASE’s vehicle insurance company.
Principal Activities:
  • Perform routine checks on all individuals receiving services and their children.
  • Monitor campus to include grounds, front gate and general facilities.
  • Assist residents, their guests and any city or county officials with accessing necessary information during visit to the campus.
  • Answer phone and direct inquiries to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with monitoring contraband entering campus via persons served or guests through routine searches of all packages and vehicles as deemed appropriate.
  • Maintain communication with Program Manager and other staff members to ensure campus safety.
  • Contact law enforcement when necessary to secure or deter criminal and / or other types of disruptive behavior.
  • Document accurately and timely according to agency policies and procedures, including reports or logs for each shift to provide accurate documentation on all persons served and their families.
  • Maintain a current CPR and First Aid certificate.
  • Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
