Member Duties : Research, gather, share, and track community resources.Maintain familiarity with Walton Options and Center for Independent Living (IL) resources for sharing at community resource fairs and events.Assist people with disabilities in reaching and maintaining their highest level of independence through identifying community resources that support IL goals.Assist in teaching empowerment, self-advocacy, and disability pride in individual and group settings Mentor and provide opportunities for growth and leadership.Provide information and support to assist clients in achieving stated goals and/or refer the client to appropriate resources.Report on successes.Assist with developing engaging IL classes that cover a variety of resources and topics
