Community Development Specialist (part-time, up to 19 hours per week, temporary 3-month position) - Dayton

As a Community Development Specialist you will working in communities within the Dayton area on a part-time, up to 19 hours per week on a temporary (up to 3 months) basis. You have the option of a day schedule - working between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm OR evening schedule working between the hours of 5:00pm - 9:00pm

What you’ll be working on:

  • Increase Girl Scouts visibility and engagement in our communities through networking and collaboration.
  • Build Girl Scout membership by focusing on the strengths of our communities and finding creative ways to reach all girls.
  • Provide support for girl and adult membership recruitment and retention plans.
  • Work directly with girls to deliver the Girl Scout program.

What you’ll need:

  • H.S. Diploma required, any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships in your community.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Ability to travel with a 45 minute radius of Dayton Girl Scout Center required.
  • Availability to work weekends as needed.
