    Job Summary

    The Katherine Reese Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Department of Music at Augusta University is seeking a motivated, experienced, and creative individual to provide content capture and communication support for the Music Department and the Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Society.

    The primary responsibility for this position is to promote a positive public image by conveying the distinctive stories of our program, faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Duties will include digital content capture (images and videos) to support a variety of internal and external communications. This position will also provide support for forms, materials, and tools (e.g. concert and recital programs, invitations/mailings, calendar events, social media, informational monitors) needed to facilitate daily operations and to increase awareness of programs, events, scholarships, initiatives, and other opportunities within the department.

    Responsibilities

    The duties include, but are not limited to:

    DIGITAL CONTENT: Capture, produce, and maintain a growing library of digital content, faculty/student/alumni testimonials (images, videos, graphics), and written content which vividly conveys experiences, people, achievements, and initiatives.

    DOCUMENTATION: Assist in the creation and maintenance of documents, fillable forms, press releases, graphics, brochures, and web pages required to facilitate and promote important opportunities, events, or procedures (e.g. scholarship applications) to internal or external audiences.

    EVENTS: Assist in the coordination and promotion of high-impact events within the department, including promotions via social media and print (i.e., flyers/bulletins/posters).

    DEPARTMENTAL MEETINGS: Attend departmental meetings or events as needed to receive assignments, provide project updates, and advise the department on branding guidelines and promotional best practices.

    RESOURCES/TOOLS: Research and advise the department on available tools, distribution options, and best practices for supporting and streamlining college procedures and communications (e.g. bulletins/newsletters, calendar events, invitations/mailings, application processes, document repositories)

    WEBSITE: Manage and update the department's websites, to include the Harry Jacobs Chamber Music Society and the AU Music Conservatory Program

    SOCIAL MEDIA: Manage and maintain the Music Department's media presence across social media (Facebook, X, and Instagram)

    OTHER DUTIES: Perform other duties as assigned. Other content capture needs or communication-related tasks as assigned by the Chair and HJCMS Director

    Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in a design, communication-intensive, or related role.

    Experience with web publishing and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop ,InDesign, Premier Pro. Applicants will be asked to provide a portfolio with samples of their work.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college in marketing, communication, or related field.

    Experience/participation in a collegiate music program.

    Experience with web publishing and proficiency in content management tools (OU Campus and Wordpress).

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    KNOWLEGE

    Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Ollustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and Acrobat Pro

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

    Significant experience with digital video capture and production

    Familiarity with professional grade digital SLR cameras and comparable digital audio recorders

    Proficiency with tools for internal and external communications and engagement (Newsweaver, MailChimp, MyEmma, Joomag, SurveyMonkey)

    Proficiency in social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Hootsuite)

    SKILLS

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Excellent interpersonal/collaboration skills

    ABILITIES

    Ability to work independently, coordinate

    Shift: Days/ M-F

    Pay Grade: 13

    Salary: Minimum $16.19/ hourly

    Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
