Job Summary

The Clinical Vice President Women’s and Children’s Service Line will provide leadership for the Women’s and Children’s service line that includes the all Avera Women’s and Children locations, as well as and formal and informal entities, through a dyad leadership model. The Clinical Vice President Women’s and Children’s Service Line will partner with the dyad leader to provide executive level leadership in conjunction with the system executive team and appropriate hospital executive leadership. It is expected that this role will spend fifty percent of time in the leadership role and fifty percent of time working in clinical care.

Education and/or Experience

  • Medical Doctor degree required
  • MBA/MHA or equivalent preferred
  • Five years of leadership experience required
  • Five years of experience in treating women, obstetrics or pediatric patients required

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • South Dakota Medical License
  • Federal DEA and South Dakota State CSR
  • Board Certification in Women’s, Children's specialty or sub-specialty.

Work Schedule

  • Full time position: 50% of time performing leadership responsibilities and 50% performing clinical responsibilities.
  • Leadership responsibilities: Monday-Friday (with evening/weekend involvement)
  • Clinical responsibilities: Monday-Friday with on-call involvement which includes, evening, night, weekends and holidays.
