Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Supervisor

Reports to: Senior Manager-Clinical Operations Status: Part-Time

Overview/ JobPurpose

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations for the Westside clinic to ensure efficient operations and the delivery of the highest quality patient care possible. The Clinical supervisor is responsible for ensuring adequate clinical staffing, clinical team competency and quality, and assists leadership to meet organizational goals and objectives. The clinic is currently staffed as a sole provider practice and additional administrative assistance is required. The goal of the clinic is to grow, which would allow this position to transition to a full-time supervisor responsibility.

Summary of Primary Duties:

  • Administrative duties including assistance with running the front desk and registering patients will be required
  • Train and develop staff with ongoing support from leadership to ensure they are capable of performing their duties while assisting with the development ongoing training/ continuing education programs
  • Complete employeereviews and work withHRto develop performance improvement plans as necessary
  • Plan, assign, and direct work; oversee and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems with the guidance of the leadership and HR
  • Participate in interviews and hiring decisions with guidance from leadership
  • Create staff schedules for the clinic; approve and/ or deny time off request
  • Cover clinicalshifts as necessary due to staffing needs
  • Assists with the VFC program at assigned location, ensuring monthly reconciliations are performed, monitoring the temperatures on the storage units, ordering vaccines, returning expired vaccines, updating VIS forms as needed, and others deemed appropriate ; will be assigned as VFC primary coordinator
  • Ensure at all times the assigned clinic(s) operate in a high-quality manner
  • Provide clinic-specific feedback at staffing meetings
  • Supervise, asrequired, the staff in the conduct of clinical care
  • Provide consistent weekly communication to leadership, ensuring that information, reports, andmaterials are provided,to clearly describeclinicactivities and progress toward agreed-upon objectives
  • Run daily huddles and disseminate importantinformation to their teams
  • Complete quality controlmeasuresforthe clinic
  • Maintain clinic cleanliness and parlevels forsupplies
  • Operate as a patient advocate when necessary
  • Assist HRin tracking clinic staff certification status and renewals
  • Assist with monitoring patient messages through website/phone to ensure a timely response
  • Maintain high level patient satisfaction
  • Maintains clinical and organizational key performance indicators regarding volume, access, revenue and quality control to be determined by your direct supervisor Clinical Supervisor
  • Exemplifies the company CORE values and assures the CORE values are being followed by subordinates
  • Manage the clinic schedule and check provider schedules daily to see where appointments could be added to assist in reaching organizational capacity utilization goals

Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements:

  • Current State of New Mexico licensure as RN, EMT, MA or other clinical licensure preferred
  • Experience in Primary Care or Family Medicine preferred
  • One yearsupervisor orleadership experience preferred
  • One to three years’ experience in an outpatient clinic environment preferred
  • Must have an understanding of ethics of confidentiality

Job Type: Part-time
