Overview

A Program Manager - Harm Reduction is needed to help us in our endeavor to build the healthiest community in the nation … one person at a time.

This position will be based at the new and innovative acute care behavioral health facility, currently under construction and slated to open in the fall of 2023. SummitStone has the privilege of partnering closely with Larimer County on this venture. This voter-approved facility will provide licensed, equitable and culturally relevant care and treatment to individuals in crisis with mental health and/or substance use disorders. This facility will serve anyone residing in Larimer County in need of urgent intervention. Completion of the project will offer access to critical services to all residents and will bring almost 200 jobs to Larimer county. For more information click HERE.

This valuable leader is as a member of the Acute Management team to provide administrative, and operational oversight of the Garcia House Circle Program, to meet the needs of clients who need residential care to manage their substance use disorder and mental illness. Garcia House, a 16-bed residential treatment program, exists to provide the highest quality care for those with substance use, mental illness, and often multi-systems involvement. The work you do with our team will directly improve health outcomes by ensuring these crucial residential treatment beds are available within our community.

This strong leader manages daily operations of the program, ensures programming adheres to licensing guidelines and applicable rules and regulations, and that treatment rendered is ethical and applicable to the needs of the population. This leader will also collaborate with the leadership team to ensure service lines are operating effectively, identify opportunities for administrative efficiencies, and streamline workflows to maximize capacity. This position provides leadership across Garcia House’s multi-disciplinary team and prepares the team for new and emerging treatments and/or service array changes.

  • Manage daily operations of the program ensuring a healthy and safe work environment, availability of robust treatment programming, and waitlist and bed management.
  • Provide leadership to a combination of program supervisors, team leads, and/or assigned mental health and substance use disorder treatment staff.

  • Serve as a resource to program staff, including case managers, clinicians, behavioral health technicians, nurses, providers, team leads, and supervisors.

  • Act as a bridge between programs, promoting and supporting the culture of SummitStone.

  • Build/maintain an effective high-performing team. Appropriately reward and recognize staff. Develop and grow staff. Develops and fosters team values.

  • Contributes to the strategic planning process.

  • Contribute to the overall management of the organization through the development of strategy, policy, and procedures. Assists to drive policy and procedure changes when necessary.

  • Gather data and prepare a variety of reports to assist with evaluating services, determining capacity, or measuring program outcomes. Assist in outcome monitoring and program or process improvement. Ensures accurate records and reporting for all grants/contracts assigned.

  • Maintains close and cooperative relationships with community agencies and other public agencies in carrying out the mission of the organization.

  • Collaborate with staff and peers to improve processes and procedures.

  • Evaluate staff performance for direct reports; addresses performance issues, resolves conduct and ethical issues; carries out disciplinary action when needed.

  • Build and maintain strong positive relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and driving performance improvements.

  • Coordinate implementation of new projects and initiatives.

  • Participates on committees (both internal and external), in meetings, and works on projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of leadership experience, preferable in healthcare.
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, human services, business or related area.
  • Experience in program development and managing projects.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be evaluated and considered.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid Colorado driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Skilled in analysis and applicable market research
  • Skilled in effective oral, written, and presentation communication.
  • Skilled in bilingual oral and written communication preferred.

Total Rewards

Based on a 40-hr. work week.
  • $83,491 - $105,000

Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights, weekend and holidays.
