Part Time Canteen Clerk-Repost

St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center, South Campus, 5300 Arsenal St., St. Louis, MO 63139

Hourly Salary: $16.31 Hours: 9am-3pm Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday

Days Off: Monday/Saturday/Sunday Work Area: Canteen

The Canteen Clerk will have responsibilities at the Canteen located in St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center, South Campus. Main responsibilities include the physical maintenance of the canteen, supervision of client workers, and ensuring sales are correctly processed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service and resolves customer issues/answers questions
  • Properly registers sales and voids on cash register
  • Receiving, stocking, marking, assembling and packing of goods and/or materials.
  • Tracking inventory and the distribution of supplies
  • Rotating stock and disposing of outdated items
  • Co-Supervising several FTC client workers – giving out work assignments such as receiving, stocking, marking, rotating stock, and moving surplus property.
  • Supervises use of equipment located in the canteen (fridge, freezer, etc.)
  • Ensures canteen/store space is clean and follows DMH policies.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in customer service or closely related
  • Two years of experience in the mental health field or closely related
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified time
